UPCOMING BEER DINNER
Tailgate at the Dane
Grillin’, chillin’, and a little beer-sippin’. This dinner captures the spirit of a tailgate, no stadium required. We’re setting up outdoors at our Fitchburg pub with an open-air feast that blends laid-back favorites and big flavor energy. Don’t worry, we’ll have heaters if needed!
From smoky wings and shrimp-stuffed jalapeños to slow-braised short rib chili and fire-pit s’mores, it’s a greatest-hits lineup of game-day classics made with chef-level care. Throw in a crisp fall evening and some Dane beers hand-picked by our brewers, and you’ve got yourself a tailgate worth showing up early for.

A Beer-Centric Holiday to Believe In
Oktoberfest started in 1810 as a royal wedding party – complete with horse races, snacks, and more than a few brews. The beer stuck around, the horses didn’t, and now it’s one of the world’s largest excuses to raise a glass.
But the real heart of Oktoberfest has always been the beer: clean, crisp, malty lagers that go down easy and make everything taste better. Like pretzels. And pork. And, let’s be honest, Thursdays.
It’s a celebration that hits especially close to home for our co-founder and brewmaster Rob LoBreglio, whose love of traditional German brewing methods helped shape The Great Dane from the very beginning. Lagers are notoriously tricky to get right, but we’ve been brewing them with patience, precision, and pride since ’94.
So whether you’re here for the Oktoberfest nostalgia or just really into doughnuts and draft beer, you’re in excellent company.
