Brewer Q&A

Brewer Question:
What drew you to brewing and specifically to craft brewing?
Brewer Answer:
I was intrigued by direction the beer industry was going, moving from mass production to more craft, smaller batch specialties. Being able to have a direct impact on an ever-evolving industry was exciting to me. It was gratifying to see the entire brew process from recipe writing to final product. Also, getting to learn from some of the most talented people in the industry.
Brewer Question:
Any parts of the profession you find particularly enjoyable or particularly tedious?
Brewer Answer:
The most enjoyable aspect is the end product and being able to interact with guests as they explore the different options available. It is interesting to hear their interpretation of the style produced as well as exciting to explain to them the unique characteristics of each brew.
Brewer Question:
Any favorite beer and food pairings? How about beer and cigar or beer and music pairings?
Brewer Answer:
Beer and sport pairings are my favorite. If I am enjoying a round of golf, I prefer to have a crisp Pilsner. If I am at Lambeau (cheering on the Packers), I like something with a fuller body to keep me warm, however after a rugby match whiskey is needed to ease the pain.
Brewer Question:
If you were on death row what beer (Dane or other) would you have as your last brew?
Brewer Answer:
Saison Dupont would be the final beer I would have if on death row. It brought me into the beer world, and it will help usher me out.
Brewer Question:
Dogs or cats?
Brewer Answer:
Dogs: As an owner of a rescue and a husky puppy there isn’t anything I would trade in the world for them.
